Years ago, Adidas launched the Barricade 7. It was one of the most successful releases ever in the history of the iconic Barricade model (there have been a total of 12 different Barricade model releases since it’s inception). When Adidas decided to release the Barricade 8 model, Novak Djokovic never wanted to switch to the new model so Adidas decide to introduce the Adidas Novak Pro based on the Barricade 7. In essence this is a Barricade 7 with Novak Djokovic logos on the shoe.  So lets get into the shoe…

The upper is comprised of a seamless synthetic which is key for better fit and comfort. Much improved ventilation comes courtesy of the extensive perforations and mesh on the shoe. The integrated stability claws help when engaging in extreme lateral movements and changes in direction. Adidas Torsion System is also included in this model for better surface adaptation and stability. The Novak Pro includes adiPRENE inserts in the heel for comfort and shock absorption plus full length adiPRENE+ for forefoot cushioning.

And last but not least, the outsole is made of ADIWEAR6 which is Adidas most durable rubber compound. The Novak Pro comes loaded with a Six-month outsole durability guarantee as well.

Novak Djokovic himself had a part in designing his own shoe. His signature logos are on the tongue and lateral side while the Reiki symbol on the medial side represents energy and protection. The mountain printed on the insole is Mt. Kopaonik where Novak met his first tennis coach.
